🍂 Monthly Sommelier Quiz – September Edition 🤓🍷
September was all about looking ahead to Lisbon 🇵🇹✨ With the ASI Contest Best Sommelier of the World 2026 just around the corner, we continued introducing the 66 candidates who will compete this October, while revisiting the stories and experiences of past Best Sommeliers of the World through our special podcast episodes 🎙️🏆
We also travelled to the vineyards of Uruguay 🇺🇾🍇 and brought our community closer to the wine world through a series of partner highlights — from the new look of Graham’s Port Aged Tawny Collection and a special GuildSomm offer for ASI Sommeliers, to our collaboration with JancisRobinson.com.
And in the ASI Bookclub 📚🍷, we explored Oz Clarke’s Grapes & Wine — another opportunity to expand our knowledge, one book at a time.

Inspired by: I have many inspirations, first I'd like to name Élyse Lambert and Véronique Rivest, two of our greatest sommeliers in Québec and Canada. 🤩 Enrico Bernardo, past Best Sommelier of the World, I remember watching a clip on YouTube that really, really inspired me, him working in Paris and also travelling through Spain. But I think, for many of us - Gérard Basset, he is the greatest of all time, he achieved everything someone could achieve in this world of wine, he's my biggest inspiration. 👏
